Oversharely, episode 2: Where does it say that?

· 1:16

An engineer asks Oversharely, a fictional consumer chatbot, whether a single trim switch meets 14 CFR 25.1309, and pastes its citation into the compliance matrix. Three weeks later the certification reviewer cannot find the paragraph, because it does not exist. Then the same question to Wingman360 Teammate, where every answer shows the paragraph it came from.

[Night. A comment from certification review on the MT-9 compliance matrix: "25.1309(b)(6)? I can't find this paragraph."]

Three weeks earlier.

He asks Oversharely: "Can the MT-9 keep its single trim switch under 25.1309? Cite the paragraph."

Oversharely answers: "Yes. A single failure is acceptable where the failure condition is shown to be major or less, per 14 CFR 25.1309(b)(6)."

[He pastes the citation into the row "Trim system - single-pole trim switch" of the MT-9 Compliance Matrix - Flight Controls, sets the status to Met and initials it.]

[The Part 25 binder opens at section 25.1309. Paragraph (b) runs from (b)(1) to (b)(5).]

It quoted a paragraph.

That paragraph doesn't exist.

There is another way.

[The same question to Wingman360 Teammate. It reads 14 CFR 25.1309 and 25.677, classifies the failure condition and checks each requirement.]

Teammate answers: "No blanket permission. It depends on how trim runaway is classified. Catastrophic: must not result from a single failure (25.1309(b)(1)(ii)). Hazardous: must be extremely remote (25.1309(b)(2)). Major: must be remote (25.1309(b)(3)). Also: trim controls must prevent inadvertent or abrupt operation (25.677(a))."

[He clicks 25.1309(b)(1)(ii), and the page opens with "Must not result from a single failure." highlighted.]

Same question.

[He changes the row to "Open - classify trim runaway", with the evidence 25.1309(b)(1)-(3) and 25.677(a).]

Every answer shows where it came from.
